Documentation
Welcome to the CheatCodeAI documentation.
Overview
CheatCodeAI is a desktop app for macOS, Windows, and Linux that gives you real-time AI assistance during technical interviews. It has two tools:
- Spectator: capture a screenshot of a coding or system-design problem and get a worked solution in seconds.
- Souffler: a live audio assistant that transcribes the conversation and suggests answers as questions come up.
The app runs in a private overlay. With Protection Mode on, its window is hidden from standard screen sharing and recording, and it stays out of the Dock, taskbar, and app switcher.
What You Need
- A Mac with Apple Silicon (macOS 12+), a 64-bit Windows PC, or a 64-bit Linux PC (beta).
- An internet connection. The app does not work offline.
- A CheatCodeAI account with an active subscription or trial.
- You must be located in the United States and be at least 18 years old.
