Privacy and Security

Your session content (screenshots, audio, and transcripts) is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers after processing. Recordings and screenshots are saved to a folder on your own device, where they stay under your control until you delete them (see Settings > Storage). Your content is never used to train AI models. The account, billing, and diagnostic data we do keep is described in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing is captured unless you start it: you choose when a screenshot is taken and when the microphone is listening. There is no continuous or background recording. To generate answers, the app sends the content you capture (screenshots, audio, and any text you type) over an encrypted connection to our backend, where our AI and speech-to-text providers process it in real time. It is used to produce your answer and is not retained on our servers afterward.

With Protection Mode on, CheatCodeAI runs in a private overlay that stays off your shared screen. Using your operating system's content-protection features, its window is hidden from screen shares and recordings in tools like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, and it stays out of the Dock, taskbar, app switcher, and standard window pickers.

This covers standard screen sharing and recording, not every possible method: it does not protect against a separate camera, external capture hardware, or someone looking at your screen. You are responsible for using CheatCodeAI in line with the rules, terms, and laws that apply to you; see our Terms of Service.

The optional Remote Mirror feature streams the app to a second device directly over your local network. That stream never passes through CheatCodeAI servers. It is off by default and switches itself off every time the app restarts.

Outside your session content, we collect:

• Account information: your email address and name, used for sign-in, billing, support, and emails about the service (marketing email is opt-out).
• Billing data: payment details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and never touch our servers directly.
• Usage analytics: which features are used, app version, and basic device information — never your screenshots, audio, transcripts, or prompts.
• Crash reports: error diagnostics sent to our error-reporting provider so we can fix problems, configured not to include user identifiers.
• Update checks: at each launch the app contacts our update server with its version, operating system, and device type.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. The full list, including device and log data, is in our Privacy Policy.

All communication between the app and our servers uses TLS encryption. Your session token is stored on your device using the operating system's secure storage.

CheatCodeAI is available only to users located in the United States who are at least 18 years old. Access is enforced with geographic IP filtering and payment-method verification.
